New Work: ‘Paris’ by Tauana Sofia

Tauana Sofia and Verena Figueiredo had Paris all to themselves on this tribute to "Les Amants du Pont-Neuf" by Leos Carax, 1991.

Set to Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure,” the film follows a woman dancing freely through the city, turning the streets of Paris into her own stage. Conceived by Verena Figueiredo and directed by Tauana Sofia, the piece was rehearsed in São Paulo before being brought to life in France.

As the song reaches its peak, fireworks explode behind the dancer, transforming the pressure carried in the music into a moment of pure release. The result is a poetic and cinematic celebration of movement, freedom and emotion.
